Finding The MAC Address Of Your Router

In order to find the WAN (sometimes called Internet) MAC address of your router, you will probably need to log into the router's setup.  If you are unsure of how to do this, please consult the manual that came with it.  Upon logging in, you are probably taken to the "status" page, if not, see if there is a button to take you there.  The WAN MAC address is usually shown on this page.  For your comparison, below are some samples of these "status" pages for the three main brands of routers available.  It is critical that you register the correct MAC address, or you will not have access to the internet on our system.

As long as you are in the setup of your router, now would be a good time to secure your wireless signal.  Once again, consult your manual for instructions on how to do this.  Unsecured wireless routers that we find connected to our system will be disconnected from service.  By securing your signal, you insure that only you are able to use it, and not others in the area.
